The Idea is Born
The full face helmet market was missing something crucial: a dual-rated (DOT + ECE 22.06) helmet that offered premium protection without the premium price tag. Our development team kicked off the concept by diving into deep market research—working with real-world and track riders to dissect top-tier helmets, exposing weaknesses, and mapping out how to build something better.
Designing the Foundation
With the vision in place, our engineering team began developing the framework for the Viper. The mission: create a helmet with the aggressive features of a track lid and the everyday comfort of a street helmet. This meant dialing in an aerodynamic shell, maximizing the field of vision, and slashing wind and road noise by nearly 85%—a feat unmatched in the industry at the time.
Testing, Tweaking, Perfecting
Prototypes became reality, and the testing phase began. This was the most demanding part of the process—cycling through months of wind tunnel sessions, rider feedback, and R&D adjustments. Nothing was rushed. Every tweak was tested until we knew the Viper was ready for track riders, street cruisers, and everyone in between.
Soft Launch & Buzz
We entered production and began introducing the Viper at Daytona Biketoberfest and smaller regional events. The response? Massive. Riders loved the look, fit, and feel—and couldn’t believe the quality for the price. Feedback rolled in fast, and we fine-tuned every detail before scaling production to meet demand.

The Viper officially hit the streets—and the reaction was explosive. Compared side-by-side with $1,900 AGV Pistas and $2,000 Alpinestars, the Viper didn't just hold its own—it surpassed them in comfort, weight, and noise reduction. Built from 6K full carbon weave with no filler materials, it’s as light as it is strong.
We didn’t build the Viper to follow the market—we built it to fix the market. Most riders can’t (and shouldn’t have to) drop $2,000 on a helmet. We priced the Viper for the people, because we are the people. Daytona Helmets isn’t corporate—we’re riders building for riders. No gimmicks. No inflated margins. Hands down the best helmet out right now. Honestly, I’d put it above the AGV Pista and that’s no exaggeration at just a fraction of the cost. The wind mitigation is incredible; you can ride without earbuds, still hear your music, chat on the intercom, and actually enjoy the ride without all the noise. The fit is spot-on, with the perfect balance of cushion and support that makes you feel secure and comfortable. As a Floridian, it doesn’t get better than having a local USA company making high-quality gear like this. Daytona Helmets delivers on every level, and I can’t recommend them enough. If you’re on the fence and looking for a new helmet, trust me go with these guys. You won’t regret it. My only gripe is we need more color options haha.
Off the rip how soft the padding was and comfortable it was even after riding in it for 3-4 hours. I’m very suprised by the wind noise for me personally it was little almost none unless I’m at 100+, not much more then my Shoei and a lot less then a pista 100%. Also have more field of view compared to my x15 as well. Also a big fan of the release button style for when the visor locks in all the way down. I always struggled to get my x15 open once it locked down. All together fit is amazing only really gripe is I’m on the smaller side so when I went to adjust the chin strap I ran out of adjustment to get it super duper tight against the bottom of my chin. I got it maxed out to how tight I can get it and it’s pretty snug. Other then that 1 thing no other complaints. i genuinely love the helmet and would rock it and 100% going to rock it from now on

I ordered a Viper Carbon Fiber and the delivery was really quick. The helmet itself is my new go-to helmet over my two Arai's! Super light and the quietest helmet I've ever worn. Highly recommended and Daytona Helmets has a customer for life.
The ventilation is perfect—it actually works! I usually overheat in full-face helmets, but the Viper keeps the air moving. No sweaty mess after a long ride.
I was skeptical about the aerodynamics, but wow zero drag, even when turning my head at high speeds. Most helmets catch wind when you check your blind spot, but not the Viper.
Great fit using the measurements on website. Super light, very comfortable. “Broke it in” on a 300 mile ride on a hot humid day and was not uncomfortable at all. A tad noisier than I was expecting, but still quieter than all my previous helmets. Will definitely buy again.
To say this helmet is comfortable is an understatement. I have put a little over 5,000 miles on this helmet since I got it. I wanted to use it in the cold, the heat, with a fairing and without a fairing before giving my honest review on it. The helmet flows the air through it nicely. It doesn't get too warm on hot days, and it does a good job keeping my head warm on cooler days. The transition shield that I purchased was a nice upgrade and I highly recommend it. The helmet is light and pulls on nicely. I like the quick connect chin strap that comes with it over the traditional double d rings. It looks nice and I get a lot of compliments on it. It is a little on the noisy side for me with a fairing. Without a front fairing it is kind of quiet. It does get louder when you open the top vent. The only negative thing I can honestly say about the helmet is I hate how hard it is to open the visor. This also has a drop-down sun visor on the inside which once you have a helmet that has it you will never purchase another helmet that doesn't. For the price you can't beat it, just purchase it! Very comfortable and good looking and quiet wind noise when riding
Absolutely love it, immediately noticed how light it was when I took it out the box . Super comfortable liner no pressure points anywhere, the visor and pinlock are great and the wide field of view is better then any helmet I've tried. I also have the C6 modular but I honestly think I like this a lot more

Helmet is super attractive and comfortable. Only dislike is wind seeps thru visor and ALOT of turbulent air comes up inside helmet from the bottom causing watery eyes but Other then that love it
This is my second Daytona helmet. Great value for the quantity and safety.
Starting off I do dig this helmet seen and read a lot of good things on social media and internet about it, however it is a bit tight but being new and reading that they are a bit tight (I do have a bigass head) I’m not mad about it, it will break in I feel! Now weight wise it’s great a little lighter than my first helmet and in the wind the buffeting is almost nonexistent, overall good stuff would buy again and will probably invest in the c6pro sometime soon!

Great helmet
Super light, comfortable and premium build, IMO. Very quiet compared to my X-Lite Carbon I just replaced. Easy to put in my Cardo unit too. I ride a 21’ BMW S1000XR with a small sport screen and it cuts through the wind very well and is super stable. Extremely happy with the purchase. Only thing I would change, if I could, is the pinlock design. I wish it covered more of the shield but after riding for an hr, you don’t really notice because it does have a great F.O.V, but it could be even larger. If you purchase, you won’t be disappointed.

Saved my life - Was in a bad accident about a month after receiving a Viper helmet. Paramedics commented about how great the helmet was, getting it off while stabilizing my neck. No head injuries and not even a headache after skidding across several lanes. Will never be without a Daytona helmet again! Thanks.
It's not the helmets, but just my big head. I measured and believe it's 27 inches, but I thought 2XL could fit. I was wrong. Great looking helmet.
Helmet fits good little tight at first, I wear a medium and only wish there was a bigger shell size as, there’s 2 spots on the top of my head that were biting the foam
Haven’t gotten to ride with the helmet but putting it on seems like a nice fit and it’s a nice lightweight helmet and has good side vision in it

Ok so I love how light it is. My only down falls would be that the outer visor only locks all the way in the top position as doesn't have any other lower positions so if you like to ride with the visor up it catches air really bad and pulls the head. Also I wish the inner sun visor came down lower like the C6 sun visor, this sun visor is like right in my line of sight where as the C6 visor drops really low and you don't even notice it. Other then that I like it. Just wish they had the regular smoke photocromatic shield in stock.

I have neck issues and have had surgery. This helmet is the only one light enough and comfortable enough that doesn't make my arms go numb. I love the design that allows my head to turn in every direction, feels super comfortable, and never fogs over. Recently there was a rare issue that occurred with the inner shield. I was told this never happens. I emailed the company and got a prompt response and was given the number of a technician who personally faced timed me and walked me through some ideas to fix it without having to send it back. Unfortunately, it didn't work, and it had to be sent back. I got a prompt email with a shipping label with frequent emailed updates on the process. I even got emailed pictures of the issue and how it was fixed. It was an easy fix and it's already back on its way to me. Kyle the technician was super kind and patient to work with and really tried hard to help me fix it on my own, so it didn't have to be sent back. Even though I live in Iowa and they are based out of Florida, this has been a super-fast process. Amazing, personalized customer service!! I will never buy a helmet from another company due to that. And I just love this helmet. I personalized it with a few stickers that represents me, so I was super excited to get my own one back. I will keep recommending this helmet to other riders (specially us lady ones) Great job team. You won a customer for life!!! Thank You!!

Loving this helmet. Matches the carbon accents on my glide. It’s super light, comfortable and keeps the extra noise out, all while looking good! Big fan of the photochromic shield as I was kind of ehhh about it. But changed my mind after riding a week straight back and forth to NYC for night shifts. Great transition!
