Official Limited Warranty Terms
Daytona Helmets’ limited warranty applies to manufacturer’s defects only and is valid for one year from the date of purchase.
This limited warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, misuse, abuse, negligence, modifications, chips, scratches, abrasions, cosmetic wear, or damage to the helmet’s outer shell or painted surfaces.
Any modification made by the user or a third party may void warranty coverage. Warranty eligibility is determined by Daytona Helmets after review of the product, documentation, and supporting information.
What May Be Covered Under Warranty Review
Warranty review may apply to qualifying manufacturer’s defects that occur within one year from the date of purchase.
Examples that may qualify for review include:
- Suspected manufacturer’s defects;
- Defective components reported with proper documentation;
- Product failures not caused by impact, misuse, improper care, alteration, installation, or normal wear;
- Issues reported with valid proof of purchase, photos/videos, and product identification.
Warranty review does not guarantee approval. Final coverage is determined after Daytona Helmets reviews the claim and supporting documentation.
What Is Not Covered
The Daytona Helmets Limited Warranty does not cover issues caused by use, wear, damage, improper care, modifications, or conditions outside of a manufacturer’s defect.
- Normal wear and tear;
- Misuse, abuse, negligence, improper storage, or improper care;
- Drops, impacts, crashes, accident exposure, or damage caused by riding incidents;
- Chips, scratches, abrasions, scuffs, paint damage, or cosmetic wear;
- Damage to the helmet’s outer shell or painted surfaces caused by use or handling;
- Shield scratches, shield coating wear, visor wear, liner wear, cheek pad wear, or accessory wear;
- Damage from cleaners, chemicals, solvents, alcohol, Windex, harsh sprays, heat, UV exposure, or improper cleaning products;
- Bluetooth, camera, speaker, microphone, adhesive mount, clamp, wiring, or accessory installation damage;
- User or third-party modification, alteration, repair, drilling, painting, reshaping, or installation;
- Fit preference, sizing issues, comfort preference, or normal break-in changes.
Hi-Vis Color Fading / UV Exposure
Hi-vis, fluorescent, neon, and high-visibility colors may naturally fade, dull, or discolor over time due to UV exposure, sunlight, heat, weather, cleaning products, and normal use.
This type of fading or color change is considered normal wear and is not considered a manufacturing defect under the Daytona Helmets Limited Warranty.
Photochromic Shield Warranty & Aging
Photochromic shields are considered wearable shield/accessory items. Transition performance can naturally change over time with UV exposure, heat, age, cleaning habits, and general use.
Yellowing, fading, slower transition speed, reduced tint change, scratches, coating wear, or normal aging from use are not considered manufacturing defects and are not covered under standard warranty.
If a photochromic shield appears defective immediately upon arrival or does not function properly before use, contact Daytona Helmets support right away with your order number, photos or videos, and a description of the issue before installing or using the shield.
Shield, Liner, Padding & Accessory Wear
Shields, anti-fog inserts, liners, cheek pads, comfort padding, vents, trim pieces, and accessories may experience normal wear over time based on use, care, storage, climate, and riding conditions.
Scratches, coating wear, fading, yellowing, odor, liner compression, padding break-in, cosmetic wear, and wear caused by installation or handling are not considered manufacturer’s defects.
Modifications, Accessories & Third-Party Installation
Modifications made by the user or a third party may void warranty coverage. This includes drilling, painting, reshaping, cutting, gluing, wiring, mounting, sanding, altering parts, or attempting repairs.
Damage or malfunction caused by Bluetooth systems, cameras, speakers, microphones, adhesive mounts, clamps, wiring, aftermarket parts, improper installation, or accessory incompatibility is not considered a manufacturing defect.
Drops, Impacts, Crashes & Accident Exposure
Damage caused by drops, impacts, crashes, accident exposure, compression, crushing, or other external forces is not covered under the Daytona Helmets Limited Warranty.
Helmets are protective safety products and may absorb energy during an impact. If a helmet has been dropped, impacted, or involved in an accident, stop using it immediately.

Daytona Helmets will determine warranty eligibility after reviewing the claim, proof of purchase, photos/videos, product history, and any inspection findings when applicable.
