Customer Reviews
Overall rating: 4.9 / 5 from 49 reviews.
Love my Daytona helmets. This is my first modular helmet. The sizing chart is spot on, follow it. I normally don't wear a 2XL so I was expecting it to be too large. Perfect fit. Installing my Sena 50S mesh intercom took about an hour. I did trim the rubber bottom edge ever so slightly to allow the intercom bracket to fit more tightly. Enjoy.
Great experience from beginning to end. Ordered 2 helmets and got a great price and well as great service!
Website was easy to find what I needed, and to place the order.
Always been skeptical to order stuff online. This order was just what they said. Fast delivery and the product is just what they advertised. Only had it a week and couldn't ask for a better helmet. Thank you Daytona Helmets!!
Recently purchased the glide modular helmet. The helmet is very nice with great features at a reasonable price. Easy to use visors, and vents for air flow. it’s very comfortable and light weight. Will be purchasing another to have on hand for any passengers.
When I’m in need of another helmet I will go right back to Daytona! Very comfortable. And for it being a modular, it is surprisingly quiet on the highway. I would argue that it’s even more quiet than my Biltwell Lane Splitter.
This is such a nice helmet! Be careful with the size it is off. My husband and I went and tried helmets on the same brand and then ordered the chart is off.
Got this helmet to go on some rides with my boyfriend and Iâve only worn it once so far but it fits well. I also have a small head for an adult so the fact that there was sizing for small heads like mine was amazing. I didnât end up having to buy a child helmet, yay! But it feels sturdy. Only thing I wish I could adjust is that the shade part of the inner helmet is great, but it sits a little high in my eye line and ends up blocking my view. Also it doesnât clip up so as we hit some bumps it would slowly come down and eventually be all the way down. I had to keep opening the flap to push it back up at red lights. Probably an easy fix though if I can find a way to clip it ipward unless I want it down. Otherwise a great helmet especially for the price.
The color very closely matches the metallic cherry red color of my 2004 Goldwing. I also purchased a 5 pin intercom system to use with the CB on my bike. The helmet is not really configured for that installation. It is configured for bluetooth. The inner liner is one piece and very difficult to remove and reinstall. Installing the wired system required some minor surgery on the white liner to enlarge the ear speaker hole to allow for a flush fit, also had to cut a channel for the microphone cable and wiring. Reinstalling the liner is a real chore, especially trying to get all the snaps to fasten.I wore the helmet for several trips to make sure it would fit and work for me before installing the headset, my head measures between 62 - 63 cm and the 3XL kit snug, but not too tight. I just wish this helmet had better certifications than DOT, which to me is not that great. I have subsequently ordered another same color helmet from Amazon that is both ECE and DOT. If you do a little research you find that the manufacturers credit themselves for DOT compliance without the DOT doing any verification. Of course here in the states the Snell labeling proves the highest protection, but has not yet be attained for any Modular helmet, just full face. I am 75 years old, have been riding for nearly 60 years and love my comfort and convienience the modular offers over the full face. I have survived a major MC accident in my teens and if I had not been wearing a helmet, I would not have survived, but just some loss of memory and concussion impact. As we old veterans say ATGATT (all the gear all the time) Ride safe
I have a big hard to fit head, this helmet fits perfectly. A quality helmet for the price. No need for built in bluetooth because my earbuds and Siri work just as well.
I recently purchased the Glide and I am very pleased with the results so far. Locking mechanism works well when helmet is open. Easy pull down to close. Great pull down sun visor. Light weight. And, my pin visor was already installed. I have ridden in the rain and nothing leaks. Sufficiently quiet. So far no fogging, thatâs a major plus for me in our humid weather. No complaints.
Finally a helmet that fits comfortably. Nice and snug where it needs to be and breathable. Had to size up because I have a lot of hair, the return process was very simple.
Good helmet, I like daytona helmets, fit good and well made. 2 draw backs with this one. No flip down sun visor and the color is not what's pictured. It is burgandy not red. I'm keeping it not that concerned about the color just be warned.Edit: I'm so stupid! I found the drop down visor. For the money, this a great helmet.
They first sent me the wrong model. Ashley in customer support jumped on it and made the swap out fast and easy. Love the style and functionality of this helmet!
I can't find much bad to say about this helmet. I will say that this is my first helmet with a flip face, integral sun shade, and pinlock anti-fog visor. To that end, each of these features work fantastic. I find that I use the flip face and sun shade all the time. The anti-fog just works! I had an anti-fog visor on a Scorpion helmet that didn't work all that well so I can definitely see how the second lens of the pinlock makes it so much better. The air vents are easy to manipulate, even with gloves. I would say that the air flow is just ok with the vents open. I've had better. The sunshade is easy to manipulate and stays put when up or down. I would have preferred it to be a bit darker though. The visor is easy to take on and off, has tabs on both sides, and has tons of detents so you can get it to stay at any position. Overall, my gripes are small and I think this helmet is incredibly well thought out, is a tremendous value, and is by far the best helmet I've had (Bell Zephyr, Scorpion EXO-400, Fly Trekker, Daytona Glide). I have an oval shaped head and this helmet fits great for me. I don't think it would work as well for a round head.
