Proper Fit:

1. Measuring Your Head Is A Starting Point For The Entire Sizing Procedure.  Due To Varying Shaped Heads That Are Apparently The Same Size When Measured By A Tape May Not Necessarily Fit The Same Size.

2. A Cloth Tape Measure May Be Used To Make Your Initial Measurements.  The Circumference Of Your Head Should Be Measured At A Point Approximately One Inch Above The Eyebrows In Front And At A Point In The Back Of The Head That Results In The Largest Possible Measurement.

3. Take Several Measurements To Make Sure You Have The Largest One.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS A ROUGH GUIDE AND NOT EXACT.  THE SHAPE OF YOUR HEAD IS AS IMPORTANT AS THE MEASUREMENT WHICH MAY AFFECT THE FINAL FIT!  THE FOLLOWING SIZES ARE AN APPROXIMATION AND ARE BASED ON AVERAGE HEAD SIZES.  IN SOME CASES VARIATION MAY OCCUR.

***ATTENTION: IF YOU ARE ORDERING OUR SLIM LINE SKULL CAP, HAWK OR CRUISER AND FIND THAT YOU ARE IN BETWEEN SIZES, WE RECOMMEND ORDERING THE SMALLER SIZE.***

"I was stuck between and S and M, and ended up fitting better in a S as it was snug, but quickly fit to my head and is very comfy." - Stew

Helmet Fitment Guide

Why Proper Fitment Matters

The performance and safety of your helmet depend on a correct fit. A helmet that fits properly will:

  • Maximize safety in the event of an impact

  • Provide greater comfort during long rides

  • Reduce wind noise and riding distractions

  • Stay securely in place when it matters most

  • Ensure safety certifications (DOT & ECE 22R06) function as intended

How to Measure Your Head

  1. Use a soft, flexible tape measure.

  2. Wrap it around your head about 1 inch above your eyebrows.

  3. Slide the tape up and down slightly to find the largest circumference.

  4. Compare the measurement to our size chart.

    • If between two sizes, start with the smaller size.

  5. Always reference the specific helmet’s size chart and user manual for accuracy.

Checking the Fit

When you put the helmet on, confirm the following:

  • Crown Fit: The inner lining should feel snug around the top and sides of your head.

  • Top Pad: Should press gently on the crown of your head.

  • Cheek Pads: Should firmly contact your cheeks; your teeth should lightly drag along the inside of your cheeks when opening and closing your mouth.

Tip: You should not be able to easily slip two fingers between your temple and the helmet.

Movement Test

  1. Buckle the chin strap.

  2. Hold the helmet firmly on each side and attempt to move it side-to-side and up-and-down.

    • The helmet should move your skin, not slide freely.

  3. If it shifts independently, it’s too large.

Signs of Poor Fit

Too Big:

  • Helmet slides on with little resistance

  • Feels loose at the crown

  • Eyes sit too high in the eyeport

  • Helmet moves freely without pulling the skin

Too Small:

  • Extremely difficult to put on

  • Immediate pressure points

  • Eyes sit too low in the eyeport

Correct Fit:

  • Requires some effort to slide on

  • Snug fit around crown without pain

  • Eyes centered in the eyeport
